Looking for clarification on autotab fields

I am working on redesigning some forms for my company and management is looking to make certain fields, single boxes for a single character.

For example, 9 seperate text fields for an SSN.

So, if I had that, how do I make it where once the each field is complete, it will automatically tab to the next field.  For example, if the SSN is 123-45-6789 and I can just enter the numbers in sequence and it will automatically put them in the correct fields without having to actually hit the tab between each number.
