Adobe Form pdf search button and Text Field

I have created a form with fields a search button and have made an ODBC connection.  How do I use an Adobe pdf search button along with a text field to enter the search information, click the button and have the data form a spread sheet or ODBC connection populate text fields using information form a data connection. Do I need a looping process? Do you have any code for this? The National Park Service thanks you for your help. Please reply to eddie_white@contractor.nps.gov
