I currently have My Photo Stream activated on my iOS device so that anytime a photo is taken it's automatically saved to the Photo Stream album within iOS which also syncs with the iCloud for Windows desktop app. The idea is that I would take a photo on my iPad and have it show up in the synced folder in Windows (e.g. iCloud Photos), then using a PDF form with an image field (via Windows), I'd select an image from the iCloud Photo folder to embed into the form.
All works well, but I noticed each image taken in Portrait mode is automatically rotated to landscape within the image field. The orientation of the images appear fine when displayed via Windows Photo Viewer and/or the new Photos app in Windows 10, but every time the image is inserted into the image field (having a Portrait orientation), it gets rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise within the field.
I believe this has something to do with the EXIF data embedded in the image file, but its my understanding LiveCycle designer supports JPG images that include digital camera Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) data.
Has anyone else experienced this? At this point the only solution is to take the photo in Landscape orientation and it imports fine...not ideal, though!
